Chai for Two, One Left Waiting

About this painting

Two chai glasses, one empty, one full, sharing a long shadow. Original canvas, unframed — a quiet story implied rather than told.

This is a small painting doing a lot with very little. Two Indian tea glasses sit together beneath one long shared shadow — one empty, one still full and warm — and the piece never explains what happened between them. That's the point: a conversation, a memory, someone who stepped away and might come back, all left for the viewer to fill in. It works especially well in a kitchen or dining nook, somewhere it'll get looked at slowly over time rather than glanced at once. Original, hand-painted canvas, rounded and unframed.
