About this painting

Mahakali in fierce white brushwork against black, wielding a crescent blade. Original canvas, unframed — bold and transformative.

This piece leans all the way into force. Mahakali rises in fierce, expressive white brushwork against solid black, a crescent blade and trishul in hand, standing over a fallen figure beneath her. The stark white-on-black treatment strips everything down to motion and intensity, drawing on a tradition that treats darkness as something to be danced through rather than feared. It's a piece for collectors and practitioners specifically drawn to Kali's fiercer, more transformative form, rather than a softer devotional style — unapologetic, and built to hold a room's attention. Original, hand-painted canvas, rounded and unframed.
