How sizing works: every tier is hand-painted to order on rounded canvas with no frame, in the same composition and palette as the original. Price scales with the painted area.

About this painting

A small paper boat adrift in a wide, pale wash. Original canvas, unframed — a quiet piece about patience rather than loss.

The composition here is almost entirely about scale. A single folded paper boat, rendered small and specific, sits inside a huge field of soft, textured, near-empty space. Most pieces would try to fill that space with something — waves, a shoreline, more detail. This one just lets it sit open, which turns the boat into something more like a quiet beginning than an ending: patient, a little hopeful, unhurried. It works especially well in a nursery, a home study, or any modern room that could use one still moment instead of another busy piece. This is an original, hand-painted canvas — rounded, unframed, nothing reproduced.
